Players Wanted - Season 2016/17

playerswantedNEWSt Albans City Youth Community Football Club -  we run teams from Under 8's to 18's (Boys and Girls) plus training sessions on Saturdays for youngsters. we are always looking for additional players for many of its almost 80 plus teams, if you want to play football find the age group below and contact the relevant manager. St Albans City Youth Under 10 Victoria (Next Seasons Under 11 Victoria) are looking for talented players to join the squad for next season (2016/17). The team plays in the Premier Division of the West Herts Youth League (Play Sunday AM). The team has had tremendous success in the past year by winning three Cup Competitions as well as reaching the National Finals of the Power League 5-A Side Challenge at Wembley and qualifying for the Herts FA County Futsal Finals in 2016. St Albans City Youth Under 10 South Boys (Next Seasons Under 11 South) are looking for players to start training with the current U10 South team in preparation for the move to 9 a-side Sunday football in the West Herts Youth league next season. We are currently looking for defenders and a forward to join our talented squad. Players should be currently playing in either the 1st or 2nd division Saturday/Sunday league football and/or district level. As a team we have a very strong player development focus based around the FA four corner model.  Our training is held on a Monday evening between 6&7pm on the 3G pitches at Nicholas Breakspear school.  We also train for and play in the local Futsal league to further complement the training and player development.   The team will be completing in the Futsal county cup finals this season.  The two team coaches, Mark and Simon hold a combination of level 1 and level 2 coaching badges as well as Youth award 1 & 2, Futsal level 1 and goalkeeping level 1.   For more information please contact Simon Joyce –



St Albans City Youth Under 13 Girls - (Next Seasons Under 14s) are looking for experienced players to join their squad for next season (2016 – 2017) all positions available. Players can start training with the team from any time now but will not be entitled to play official matches until September 2016. Disability Section - How to Join


If you are a keen footballer with a disability, or know someone who is, we are always on the lookout for new talent. We are a pan disability team which means we can accept players of any age, with any disability such as:- 

Special needs education, learning disability, visually impaired, hearing or balance impaired, missing or shortened limbs, cerebral palsy, physically impaired- caused by injury or disease, mental illness.

Inclusive Football Training sessions: 

Saturday Mornings: 10.00am - 12.00

Inclusive football training and skills for age 7+  girls and boys of all abilities.  

This is a pay as you go session - £3 per session.   Astro pitch. Players need astro boots and shin pads.

Players have a chance to work towards playing for the St Albans City Youth Inclusive team in the Herts Youth Inclusive Football league and there are opportunities to progress into the adult inclusive teams.  More about Herts Youth Inclusive Football can be found via

Adult Training Sessions

Monday Evenings: 7pm to 9pm 

Nicholas Breakspear School, 125 Colney Heath Ln, St Albans AL4 0TT

This training session is for Inclusive Team members and Elite performers aged 16+.

Players need to pay a registration fee to be able to train on Monday’s and/or Fridays and play in the Adult Leagues at Premiership, Championship and League level.

Friday Evenings: 6.30pm to 8pm
