St Albans City Youth – Girls
The Under 16 Girls South had an impressive 4 – 2 victory over Hares Youth. It was a great team display which was capped off by two goals from player of the match Rosie McGahan and singles from Beth Moss and Francesca Rolfe.
The Under 15 Girls South played away at Bengeo and came away with a 5 – 0 win in what was their best performance of the season as the Saints Nine beat Bengeo’s Eleven plus subs. A great strike from Charlotte Banks opened the scoring and one from Lauren Walker made it 2 – 0 before half time. In the second period there were another two goals from Lauren Walker (to complete her hat trick) and then the final goal was scored by Grainne Kellett to finish off an excellent win.
The Under 15 Girls North lost 5 – 0 to Garston Girls. There was a joint player of the match which was shared between Zoe Chick and Maddy Donaldson.
The Under 13 Girls beat Harpenden Girls 8 – 1. The Saints goals were scored by Mia Pinkham 3, Jessica Simpson 2, Laura Gifford, Maz Horne-Badet and Georgia McGonaghie.
The Under 12 Girls South lost 2 – 0 away to St Margaretsbury. The whole team were awarded the player of the match.
The Under 10 Girls South played a match with Boreham Wood. There was a goal from player of the match Jemina Avery.
The Under 9 Girls North played Hitchin Belles. Ebba Taylor-Pugh was named player of the match.
Under 9 Girls South played Stevenage Borough. Elisia Hepplethwaite scored and was also named player of the match.
The Under 18 West played club mates the Under 18 East and in a close match the West just edged it by two goals to one. For the West Adam Hazelwood scored both goals and the man of the match went to Dom Calvert. For the East Conor Moore scored and Sam Bottomley was named man of the match.
The Under 18 Orient beat Abbots Youth 3 – 1 with goals from Tom Nicolson, Jake Mlodecki and one from man of the match Alfie Folan.
The Under 16 South lost 2 – 0 to Herons Orange and keeper Rich Ashu was named man of the match.
The Under 16 East WHYL lost 5 – 1 away to Bushey & Oxhey. Michael Coffee scored and the man of the match went to Callum Keane.
The Under 15 North beat Aston Clinton 6 – 2 and the man of the match went to Jack Hughes who scored all six goals.
In the League Cup the Under 15 South won 8 – 1 playing Edmonton. The goals were scored by man of the match Ross Weaver 4, Joe Newton, Harry Smith, Harrison Arnold and Ernesto Rodriguez.
In the Challenge Cup the Under 15 Orient played away at London Maccabi Lions White and moved into the next round thanks to a 5 – 4 victory. The goals were scored by man of the match Ibrahim Rahman 2, Michael Gabblah, Harry Easterby and Luke Gymer.
The Under 15 West had a good win in the league away to Harpenden Jaguars by six goals to one. Kai Takahashi 3, Matthew Nash, Tom Keating and Harrison Bean scored the goals. The man of the match went to Noah Charsley-Smith.
The Under 14 North had a 6 – 0 away win over AC Finchley North with goals from Billy Owen 5 and Dan Banergee. There was a joint man of the match which was shared between Hendrik Bockenhauer, who was excellent at right back and Chris Rowe who ran things in midfield.
The Under 14 Orient had a high scoring match away at Oxhey Jets going down 4 – 6. The Saints goals were scored by Peter Rock 2, Kai Hobbs and Louis McNamara. The man of the match went to keeper Emanuel Abu Sayf.
The Under 13 South fought out a 0 – 0 draw at home to Whetstone. The man of the match went to left back Sammy Johnston.
The Under 13 Central went down 1 – 4 to EB Lions. Some excellent passing led Ben Sommerbauer to pull a goal back but it was not enough. The man of the match went to Joshua Penning.
Playing away to Olympiacos were the Under 13 East who came home with all the points after a 2-0 win. Scoring the goals were man of the match Nasir Mustaqim and Josh Killick.
The Under 13 Orient lost away to undefeated Sun Postal 4 -1. Scoring the Saints goal was Joe McCarthy and the man of the match went to Thomas Van Winden.
Playing in the League Cup the Under 12 West posted a 6 – 1 victory over Hadley Wood and Wingate. Scoring the goals were Jack Cullen 3, Ben Wick 2 and Jack Carmichael.
The Under 12 North lost to Bushey and Oxhey Falcons. The man of the match was Andrew Gentle.
The Under 11 East played Panshanger Tigers. There were goals from Harry Dawe and James Nash. The man of the match went to Matthew McCree who was outstanding in goal.
The Under 11 West played Wormley Whites. Scoring the goals were Finlay Rees and man of the match Leo Tashev.
The Under 10 South played Hoddesdon Town Whites. There were goals from Jed Ejjyaha 3, Sam Ejjyaha 2 and Charlie Easterby. The man of the match went to the whole team as everyone (to quote the manager) “played their socks off”.
The Under 10 Boreal played Welwyn Pegasus Cyans in a very good match. Scoring the goals was Carlos Johnson 2 the star player was Toma Tashev.
The Under 10 West played Welwyn Pegasus Sapphires. Man of the match Charlie Clark scored.
The Under 10 Central played away at Potters Bar United. The man of the match went to Angus Twidell.
The Under 10 Orient played Watton Youth. Jack MacDonald scored two goals and the man of the match went to Antonio Penetra.
The Under 9 South played away at Bengeo Tigers Sumatrans. Owen Weaver and Freddie Yeo scored and the man of the match went to Thomas Maher. Both keepers played well with some great saves for both teams.
The Under 9 West played Nascot Wood and the Saints goal was scored by man of the match Tommy Morgan (His Grandad missed him score again!!!)
The Under 9 Orient played Berkhamsted Raiders Yellow. There were goals from Alex Hails 3, Bertie Postema 3, Thomas Boca-Mapp 2, Adam Oldfield and Harry Gains.
The Under 9 Central played Harpenden Colts Leopards. The goals were scored by Tyler Hall 2 and Ethan Siegar. The man of the match went to Oliver Ward.
The Under 9 Dragons played Ware Rangers. Max Austin scored a brace and was also named man of the match. Michael Napier scored 2 and Joshua Francois scored a single.
The Under 9 Arrows played away to Broomfield Academy, the goals were scored by man of the match Ben Browning and Callum Howells.
The Under 9 Romans played Elite Feet Southgate and Max Winders scored.
