St Albans City Youth – Boys
The Under 18 Warriors playing away to Chorleywood Common in the League Cup had a fine 4 – 2 win with goals from Nico De Olievia 2, Stuart Peet and Ed Anders.
The Under 17 West also played in the League Cup and won their game away to Whetstone Wanderers 7 – 3. Scoring the goals were Charlie Lunniss 2, Sebastian Camp, Billy Lawrence, Harry Deacon, Harry Hawkes and Christian Spratling. The man of the match went to Harry Fennell.
The Under 18 West lost 7 – 1 in the League Cup to Hemel Hempstead Town White with their only goal coming from Yaku Stapleton. Keeper Sam Cornmell was named man of the match after making a number of good saves during the game.
The Under 16 East won 5 – 0 against AC Finchley North with man of the match Ewan Brand on top form by scoring four goals. The fifth goal was scored by Joe Vance.
The Under 16 North won 3 – 1 in a league game with goals from Youness Bakhti, Alfie Booth and Will Sharp. Chris Hubbard was named man of the match.
The Under 16 Orient played at home to Kings Langley and went down 3 – 1 after a tight match. Scoring the saints only goal was Sam Healey.
Matt Breeze and Jack Hughes scored for the Under 15 North as they went down 5 – 2 to Harpenden Colts Cougars. There was a joint man of the match which was shared between Dominic Lee and Ben Dimmock.
Another young Saint to score four goals was man of the match Ross Weaver for the Under 15 South as they beat Abbots Youth 8 – 0. The other goals were scored by Jack Fletcher 2, Joe Newton and Adam Pringle.
Playing away to Omonia Youth Green were the Under 15 Orient and after a tight match they went down 4 – 3 in this Red Division fixture. The man of the match for the Saints Lewis McCall scored two goals and Karis Broomfield netted the third.
In a match between the Young Saints and the Hornets the Under 15 East beat Watford Town 5 – 2. The goalscorers for the Saints were Kai Quait with two then one each from Elliot Osborne, Lochy Hedge and Owen Field. The man of the match went to defender Demetrius Johnson.
Ross Andrews lead the goalscorers for the Under 15 West with a hat trick as they beat Abbots Youth away 10 – 0. The other scorers were Matt Nash 2, Kai Takahashi 2, Tom Keating, Kwame Youri and one from man of the match Joe Parkin.
Playing Bushey and Oxhey Bears in the West Herts League saw the Under 14 East win 3 – 1 with a goal from Aaron Peter giving them a 1 – 0 lead, the other two goals were scored by Ben Adshad. The man of the match went to Sam Lailey.
The wheel fell of the waggon for the Under 14 North as they went down 8 – 2 away to Whetstone Wanderers in the Watford Friendly League Red Division. Scoring for the North were Daniel Bannerjee and Billy Owen. Defender Ed Mann was named man of the match.
The Under 14 West were at home in the Challenge Cup to Cassiobury Rangers (who play two divisions above them in the league). A goal from James Knapp in the first minute put the Saints in front and then another from Stef Martin made it 2 – 0. Cassiobury hit back to go 5 – 2 up, when the score was 3 – 2 the Saints James Knapp had some bad luck when his goal bound shot was cleared off the line at the last moment. The West did come back into the match with goals from Adam Johnson and Stef Martin to make the score 5 – 4. The Saints went close to making it 5 – 5 but it was not to be despite all the squad giving their all. The man of the match went to the whole team.
Playing at home to Chorleywood Common Thunder in the Challenge Cup saw the Under 14 orient provide the strikes as they went on to win 7 – 3. Peter Rock led the way with four goals and there were singles from Kai Hobbs, Connor Blight and Bly Wilding. Nic Curtis was named man of the match.
A fine goal from Diego Pazaran-Butler earned the Under 13 North a 1 – 1 draw in their away game with Hemel Hempstead Town White.
In the County Cup the Under 13 South lost 3 – 1 to Boreham Wood despite a solid team performance. Scoring the Souths only goal was man of the match Tom Dodd with a fantastic strike which flew into the back of the net.
The Under 13 Central played Little Gaddesden away in the league and they fought out good 5 – 3 win. Scoring the goals were Daniel Williams 3 and Matt Roome with two. The man of the match went to Matty Bleakley.
The Under 13 East lost 3 – 0 away to Hadley Rangers.
The Under 13 Orient lost to Bushey Panthers in the County Cup. The man of the match for the Saints was Ollie Gilmour.
Playing Hendon United Green were the Under 12 East Blue and the Saints won 5 – 0. Taking his tally to eleven goals for the season so far was Lorenzo Johnson with his third hat trick in four matches. The other goals were scored by Sammy Gosine and Joe Stone.
The Under 12 East Yellow bounced back from their close 3 – 2 defeat last week to beat Echoes Orange 4 – 3 in yet another close match. Freddie Laycock was the star player who scored a great hat trick. The fourth goal was scored by Oscar Evans.
Playing Park Street Village were the Under 11 North there were goals from Finlay Eames-Illingworth 2 plus one each from Harrison Shaw and Jake Berry.
The Under 11 South played against Welwyn Pegasus Royals with Jamie McLeod being named man of the match.
Another team playing Welwyn were the Under 11 East. Scoring for the East were Callum Maguire and Harry Dawe. Wesley Mudziviri was named man of the match.
The Under 11 West played East Herts Youth. The man of the match went to Caler Ezequiel.
Goals from Jed Ejjayha and Joseph George for the Under 10 South as they played in this end to end game against Letchworth Garden City Eagles Black. The man of the match went to keeper Ben Huddlestone who made some amazing saves during the game.
The Under 10 Victoria played a strong Comets side. The scorers for the Saints were Freddie Roe 2 and Zak Davies.
Playing away to East Herts Youth Blues saw the Under 10 West open the scoring with a well taken goal from Charlie Clark after being setup by Sam Mills. The Saints scored another goal. The goal was scored by Sam Morris who timed his run perfectly and tucked the ball away after a great pass from Sam Mills. Alex Duffy, who was outstanding in midfield was named man of the match. Another player who played well was the East Herts keeper who pulled of some great saves during the game.
Matthew Penfold hit a hat trick for the Under 10 Central in their away match with Bury Rangers Tigers away. Scoring the other goals were Oliver Taylor and Akere Ngu. The man of the match went to midfielder Barnaby Chaudhry.
The Under 10 Orient played Ware Rangers Corinthians and there were goals from Antonio Penetra and Callum Crowther who was also named man of the match.
Antonio Desiderio and Adam Gardner scored to for the Under 9 North in there match with Hertford Town.
The Under 9 South played a hard fought match with Wheathamstead Sharks. Scoring the goals were Freddie Yeo, Steven Jacobs, Josh Smith and another from Asa Stewart-Harris. The man of the match went to keeper Ben Pearman.
Playing Wormley White were the Under 9 East, the scorers were Will Antcliffe with four goals. The other scorers were Johnny Bennett with a hat trick plus Tom Jennings and Tom Flower with one each. The man of the match was awarded to defensive lynchpin Max Whelan.
The Under 9 West played at home to Berkhamsted Raiders Blue, there were goals from Josh Ladyman and a cracker from Tommy Morgan (missed by his Granddad). The man of the match went to Alfie Mair.
Also at home the Under 9 Central played Berkhamsted Raiders White there were two well taken goals from Ethan Sieger after a storming second half performance.
It was an exceptional team display from the Under 9 Orient, the Saints played away to Abbots Youth Red. The highlight of the match was the two sizzling goals from man of the match Bertie Postema.
The Under 9 Arrows played against Welwyn Pegasus with Louis Godfrey scoring two goals. Oliver Ray was named man of the match.
Playing at home to Elite Feet Southgate Lions were the Under 9 Saxons. Scoring the Saints goals were Luca Callegari and Christian Harvey.
The Under 9 Romans played Elite Feet Harpenden and there were goals from Ryan Kennedy 3, Max Winders 2 and Sonny Phillips.
The Under 8 North played the Under 8 West in a fun game. Scoring the goals for the North were man of the match Jacob Standing with two plus one each from Charlie Yeo and Ethan Evans. For the West the goals came from Romeo Rojas 2, Alex Evershed and Daniel Day.
In the County Cup the Under 16 Girls North were drawn away to Bury Rangers and despite a good team performance they were once again hit by injuries and finally went down 3 – 0. The player of the match went to Shauna Smith who was great in midfield.
Also going out of the County Cup were the Under 16 Girls South who lost 2 – 0 to Bedwell Rangers. The hard tackling full back Katie Chamberlain was named player of the match.
At home to Bengeo Tigers were the Under 15 Girls South who sportingly went down to 10 players when Bengeo only had ten. Although the Saints had most of the play they could not find the back of the net with the Bengeo keeper making some good saves. Finally, the deadlock was broken when Lauren Walker scored a beauty for the Saints to win 1 – 0. The player of the match went to Charlotte Banks for her wonderful passing throughout the match.
Away to Kings Langley the Under 15 Girls North lost 5 – 1 with Claudia Smith scoring the Norths only goal. Emma Wilkinson was named player of the match.
Playing away in a friendly against Broomfield were the Under 14 Girls and they won 2 – 0 with Bo Westcombe scoring both goals and Hayley Trounce was named player of the match.
Playing away to Garston the Under 12 Girls South recorded an 8 – 2 win with player of the match Zoe Cowan scoring four goals whilst Jasmine Price hit a fine hat trick and the final goals was scored by Nicole Plumb.
The Under 12 Girls North lost to Tottenham Girls and Susie Weidman was named player of the match.
The Under 11 Girls North played Bedwell in 2 friendly half matches. Scoring the goals were Katie Leigh 6, Tatyana Barton 4 and Keira Ward 3.
The Under 8 Girls played away in a fun game with Garston Jaguars and there were goals from player of the match Rebecca Smith 4, Laura Brown 4, Maya Deans 3, Sophie Birkett and Grace Gauthier.
