St Albans City Youth - Boys
The Under 18s had a bad weekend, firstly the 18 West played a dounble header agaisnt Evergreen, they lost the first 3 - 0 and the second game 2 - 1 with Shaun Aylwood scoring. In the first match Dom Calvet was named man of the match and in the second it went to Lewis Cutmore.
The Under 18 Orient also played a double header, they were against Hemel Town White. The lost the first game 2 - 0 and the second 3 - 1 with Zac Owen scoring. The man of the match went to Jude Akajioyi.
The Under 18 East played Harpenden Boas and lost both matches of their double header (9 - 0 and 1 - 0). The man of the match awards went to Tom Wilkinson and Max Mumford.
The Under 16 West played at home to Harvesters East and won the game 6 - 3 thanks to goals from Alfie Seeby 3, Billy Lawrence 2 and Christian Spratling.
The Under 16 North beat Evergreen 3 - 2 in the league thanks to goals from Alfie Booth, Euan McDonald and Wil Sharp, the man of the match went to Sean Ahearne-Smith.
The Under 16 Central beat Comet Cougars 5 - 2 with goals from Harrison Gates 2, Stephen Gee 2 and Jack Cummings.
The Under 16 South won 2 - 0 against Hemel Hempstead Town White in the league with Alex Stanimrow scoring both goals. The man of the match went to Rich Ashu.
The Under 16 East WHYL lost 2 - 0 at home to Harpenden Colts Tigers. The man of the match went to Eoin Kellett. There were excellent performances from Conor Jungnickel and William Alderton. Jamie Smith hit the bar and keeper Ashley Ojuederie made some great saves.
The Under 15 North lost 2 - 4 to Harpenden Colts Cougars. Jack Hughes and George Healey scored for the Saints. The man of the match went to Cameron Clarke.
Playing away in the Challenge Cup the Under 15 Orient progressed after a 6 - 0 win over Bedmont Youth. The goals were scored by Finbar King 2, Michael Gabblah, Luke Gymer, Lewis McCall and one from man of the match Harry Easterby.
The Under 15 West lost 4 - 1 to Harpenden Panthers. The Saints goal was scored by Casey Ajiojay. The man of the match went to Joe Parkin.
The Under 14 Orient played local rivals Park Street Village and took all the points with a 4 - 1 victory. Peter Rock scored a hat trick and Nick Curtis scored the fourth. The man of the match went to keeper Drew Collarbone. New signings Osama Moutiq and Tarek Omar had good games.
The Under 14 North went out of the Challenge Cup with a 2 - 0 defeat to Bushey. The man of the match was Joe Parrett.
The Under 14 West had a good 10 - 0 win over Harpenden Jaguars. The goals were scored by Evander Port 5, James Knapp 3, William Skinner and Stefan Martin.
The Under 13 North had a 3 - 2 victory against Kings Langley Cobras thanks to goals from Freddie Collins 2 and Myles Donkin. Freddie Collins was named man of the match.
The Under 13 Central crashed out of the Quarter Final of the Challenge Cup with a 3 - 2 defeat. Scoring the goals for the Saints were Daniel Williams and Luke Hill. The man of the match went to keeper Joe Moss who was brilliant between the sticks.
The Under 13 East had a good 8 - 0 win over Brady Maccabi. The goals were scored by Nasir Zaman 4, Josh Killick 2, Emerson Smith and Louis Postema. The man of the match went to Bejamin Heeley.
The Under 13 Orient lost 2 - 1 to Park Street Village with Samuel Beasley scoring for the Saints. The man of the match went to Joe McCarthy.
The Under 12 North had a 0 - 0 draw with Aston Clinton. The man of the match went to Wasim Bosky.
The Under 12 East Blue lost 3 - 0 to Omonia.
The Under 11 North played Bovingdon Storm. There were goals from Harrison Shaw, Charlie MacDonald 2 and Charlie Taylor.
The Under 11 South played Cuffley. There were goals scored by Adam Savvides and Matthew Martin.
The Under 10 Central played Hatfield Town in the first round of the Cup and won 5 - 1. The goals were scored by Oliver Taylor 2, Angus Twidell 2 and Matt Penfold. The Man of the Match went to Charl Mason.
The Under 10 South played Stevenage Borough. Goals from Sam Ejjayha and Charlie Easterby. The man of the match went to Finlay Evans.
The Under 10 East played Bengeo Tigers. There were goals from Joel Whitworth 2 and Josh Oluteye.
The Under 10 Boreal played in the Quarter Final of the Blue Division Cup away at Parringdon Youth Pumas. The match finished 0 - 0 after extra time but the Saints lost 2 - 3 on penalties. The star player forn the Saints was Alex La Placa for his improvement and outstanding commitment in midfield.
The Under 10 Victoria played Bovingdon Thunder. Benjy Stone scored a great goal.
Also playing in a Cup Quarter Final were the Under 10 West who won 3 - 0 against Broomfield Academy. Man of the match Charlie Clark scored the first with a tap in, he also scored the second goal. Alex Duffy scored the third goal with a 25 yard rocket to take the team into the semi finals.
Another team in the Cup were the Under 10 Orient who had a 2 - 0 win over Potters Bar United. The goals were scored by Cameron Bates and Archie Bentley.
The Under 9 North won their Emerald Division Cup Quarter Final match against Cheshunt Blues 2 - 0 thanks to goals from Adam Gardner and Antonio Desiderio. The Man of the Match went to Finn Scully.
The Under 9 Dragons were also in a Cup Quarter Final, they played East Herts, who they beat 2 - 1. The Saints goasl were scored by Joshua Francois and Man of the Match Michael Napier.
The Under 9 Romans played Waltham Cross in an exciting match. There were goals from Ryan Kennedy and Imad Syed 2.
The Under 9 Arrows played Wodson Park United. There was a goals from Oscar Noble. Both teams played well.
The Under 9 West played away at Little Gaddesden Oaks. Josh Ladyman scored and Matthew Gosling was named man of the match.
The Under 9 Orient Played Croxley Green Blacks. Goals scored by Alex Hails 3 & 2 from man of the match Lucas Berry.
The Under 9 South played Broxbourne Borough Royals. Josh Smith scored and the man of the match went to James Beasley.
The Under 9 East lost their League Cup Quarter Final against Ryan Youth Reds 3 - 1. Johnny Bennett scored their only goal. The man of the match went to Natchan Kleiner-Mann.
The Under 9 Central played Hemel Hempstead Blue. There were goals from Ethan Sieger and Maxwell Hayes. The man of the match went to Harry Pearce.
The Under 9 Saxons played Welwyn Pegasus Skys. The goals were scored by Sam Estell and Christian Harvey.
A number of the City Youth Under 8 sides played a round robin festival at Highfield Park. The teams taking part were the West, North, East and Orient. There were goals scored by Alex Evershed, Toby Short, Teddy Carr, Samuel Philpot, Arthur Rennie-Sivell, Leon Rainey, Arthur Vessey, Jacob Standing and Kaden Rajkumar. You can see from the number of goals scored every team taking part had a great time.
The Under 16 North Girls beat a good Watford Wasps side 5-1 at home (amazing turnaround from the last time we met back in November with Watford beating us 7-2). The Saints goal scorers were Louisa Ellis (also Player of the Match), Dani Tyler 2 and Zoe Thomas 2. Manager Sarah Kropman said "Great to be able to field a full side and get a well-deserved 3 points".
The Under 16 Girls South lost 2 - 1 to Bedwell Rangers. Bethany Moss scored and Kate Chamberlain was named player of the match.
The Under 15 Girls South played Garston Ladies and they shared the points with a 0-0 draw. Both teams played some great football and had chances but no team could find the back of the net. Player of the match was Kira Close.
The Under 14 Girls played their first match in 10 weeks with a 4 - 4 draw with Knebworth. There were goals from Player of the match Bo Westcombe-Evans 3 and Hannah McCorkindale.
The Under 13 Girls played at home to Denham in the League Cup and won the tie 4 - 0 thanks to goals from Mia Pinkham , Jess Simpson and Player of the match Anna Gifford.
The Under 12 Girls South played Berkhamsted Raiders at home and won the match 3 - 0 thanks to goals from Caitlin Watkins and two from player of the match Zoe Cowan.
The Under 11 Girls North played Bedwell Ladies. There were goals from Tatyana Barton 3 and Katie Leigh. The player of the match award went to Briony Stachini.
The Under 11 Girls South played Bedwell Rangers. There were goals from Gabby Templeman and Jaime Curtain.
The Under 10 Girls South played Ware Rangers, there were goals from Scarlett Lobina and Grace MacMurray. The player of the match went to Beth Watson.
The Under 9 Girls North played Garston Ladies Pumas. Cora Baylis scored and Caitlin Adair was named player of the match.
The Under 9 Girls South played Harvesters and Stella Ekblad scored.
The Under 8 Girls played at home to Hitchin Belles in a match that will be good for the player development of both teams. There were goals from Sophie Birkett and Maya Deans. The Saints player of the match went to Rebecca Smith.
