St Albans City Youth – Boys

Under 18

The Under 18 Orient lost 3 – 6 to Acorn Raiders. The Saints goals were scored by Owen Ladbrook 2 and Zac Moore (Zac was also named man of the match). Both Owen Ladbrook and Oscar Rutherford-Hughes hit the woodwork on numerous occasions plus another effort stuck in a puddle on the goal line.

Under 16

In a game played on a heavy pitch at Highfield Park the Under 16 Orient had a 1 – 0 win over Evergreen thanks to the only goal of the game from Eric Kieffer.

The Under 16 East WFL had a narrow defeat to Muswell Hill Cobras 2 – 3. The Saints goals were scored by Ned Robinson and a 30 yard volley from Tayler Fennel. The man of the match was Cain Joseph.

The Under 16 East lost 5 – 7 to Sandridge Rovers. The goals were scored by Charlie Redding, Jamie Smith, Sam Abington, Ahmed Aziz and Michael Coffee. Callum Keane was named man of the match.

Under 15

The City Youth Under 15 North had a great win over Watford Youth by ten goals to one. Super striker Jack Hughes scored a double hat trick (yes Six Goals) to give his side a head start. There were further goals from Cameron Clark, Rob McKee, Rob Devine and Victor Dehon. The man of the match went to Archie Hall.

The City Youth Under 15 Orient had a 4 – 2 win over Abbotts Youth Red with goals from Finbar King, Lewis McCall 2 and Ibrahim Rahman.

The Under 15 South lost 3 – 0 to AEK Athens. The man of the match went to Tom Kellard.

Under 14

In the Herts FA County Cup Semi Final the City Youth Under 14 North defeated Wormley Youth 4-0 thanks to goals from Billy Owen 3 and Dan Banerjee. This was a great team performance and will see the Saints take on Hoddesdon in the final at Letchworth later in the season.

The Under 14 West beat Chorleywood Common 7 - . The goals were scored by James Knapp 4, Evander Port 2 and William Skinner.

In the Challenge Cup Quarter Final the Under 14 East beat Harpenden Colts 3 – 1. The goals were scored by Harry Peter and 2 from Aaron Peter. Man of the match went to Kobi Nelson who worked hard in midfield.

Under 13

The City Youth Under 13 Central were also in fine goal scoring form as they defeated Evergreen Youth 11 – 1. Man of the match Daniel Onochie-Williams scored four goals followed by singles from Joshua Penning, Ben Sommerbauer, Jonathan Hargreaves and Luke Hill.

The City Youth Under 13 South beat Edgware Town 1 – 0 thanks to a goal from Louis Baker-Madec. The man of the match went to Connor Robinson.

Under 12

The Under 12 South had a narrow defeat (2-3) to Berkhamsted. The Saints goals were scored by George Sippetts and James Justice.

In the Cup the Under 12 East Blue lost 2 – 0 to Edmonton with both goals coming in the final ten minutes.

The Under 12 East Yellow played out a 1 – 1 draw against Echoes Orange in the League Cup Semi Final only to miss out 2 – 0 on penalties.

Under 11

The Under 11 West played Welwyn Pegasus and there were goals scored by man of the match Leo Tashev 5, Jakey Chaudry, Alfie Gauthier, Ben Collison and Finlay Rees.

The Under 11 North played Watford Youth, this was a great team performance that by the Saints.

The Under 11 South played Harpenden Colts. The man of the match went to Louis Warren.

Under 10

The City Youth Under 10 Boreal played Welwyn Pegasus. There were goals from Addison Newe-Doyle 3, Harry Muir 2, Carlos Johnson and Jackson McArthur.

The City Youth Under 10 Victoria's morning match was a victim of the weather. However the boys faced a challenging afternoon in the Herts FA Futsal challenge. Drawn in a tough group of 6 teams, Victoria just managed to qualify in 2nd place to Bengeo Tigers with 2 wins, 2 draws and one defeat. Scorers were Zak Davies, Archie Hobbs and Freddie Roe whilst man of the match was Reese Diri for an excellent sweeper/keeper performance. St Albans now have 3 Futsal teams through to the Herts regional finals.

The Under 10 East played Potters Bar. There were goals from Jensen Dean, Josh Oluteye and new signing Toby Trewin.

The Under 10 West played Ware Rangers. The man of the match went to Lenny Brandon.

The Under 10 Central played Hatfield Town United. There were goals from Angus Twidell and one from man of the match Matthew Penfold.

Under 9

The Under 9 West enjoyed playing back at Highfield Park after a long weather break against Chorleywood. There were goals from Ben Hodges 2, Josh Ladyman 2 and Rory Graham. The man of the match went to Ben Hodges.

The Under 9 South played fellow clubmates the Under 9 Orient in a friendly game that turned out to be a cracking match. The goals were scored by Dean Bladon 2, Steven Jacobs 2, Thomas Boca-Mapp, Owen Weaver, Freddie Yeo, Bertie Postema and Josh Smith. You all know who scored for what side!

The Under 9 Orient played Chorleywood Eagles. Bertie Postema scored and Josh Toop was outstanding in defence.

Under 8

The Under 8 South played King George Vipers. The man of the match went to Jake Allen.

The Under 8 East played Wheathamstead Tigers. There were goals scored by Arthur Rennie-Sivell 3 and Samuel Philpot 2.

The Under 8 North played Potters Bar Raiders. There were goals scored by Jacob Standing 3 and Kaden Rajkumar. The man of the match was Ethan Evans.

The Under 8 West played at home to Broomfield Academy Greys. There were goals from Daniel Day 3, Alex Evershed 2, Romeo Rojas, Toby Short, Kyle Rennie and Nick Evershed. The man of the match went to Daniel Berman who made some great saves in goal.

The Under 8 Orient played Ware. There were goals from Otto Meech 2 and Adam Lorman.

St Albans City Youth – Girls

Under 16

The Under 16 Girls South lost 5 – 0 to a strong Luton Ladies side in the League Cup after only being 1 – 0 down at half time. This was not a bad result as Luton are currently top of Division One. The player of the match went to Francesca Ralfe.

Under 15

The Under 15 Girls South lost 1 – 0 to Kinja Thunder in the Quarter Final of the County Cup. The Saints played well all over the pitch and had eight good chances, unfortunately they left their scoring boots at home. The player of the match went to Ellie Holder.

The Under 15 Girls North lost to local rivals Harvesters. The player of the match went to Maddy Donaldson.

Under 13

The Under 13 Girls had a narrow 3-2 defeat to Harvesters in the County Cup with Mia Pinkham scoring both goals for the Saints.

Under 12

In the League Shield Quarter Final the Under 12 Girls South lost 2 – 0 to St Margaretsbury. Keeper Katie Hamm saved a penalty and the player of the match went to Jessica Lees.

Under 11

The Under 11 Girls North played Kinja with player of the match Caitlin Hugo scoring two goals.

The Under 11 Girls South played Chorleywood Tigers at home. Jaime Curtain scored for the Saints.

Under 10

The Under 10 Girls North played Harvesters at home. There were goals from Ruby Peacock 2 and Abbie Bierman.

The Under 10 Girls South played away at Garston Ladies. There were goals from Jemima Avery 2 and Ellie Langton.

Under 9

The Under 9 Girls North played Bedwell Rangers. Amy Reeves scored two goals and Ruby Littlechild was named player of the match.

Under 8

The Under 8 Girls played away at Evergreen Ladies. There were goals scored by Laila Brown 4, 2 from player of the match Maya Deans, Rebecca Smith and Emma Bracey.
