St Albans City Youth – Girls
The Under16 Girls North played away to Bury Rangers Girls but went down 4 – 0. The Saints player of the match went to Danielle Tyler.
Also playing away were the Under 16 Girls South who travelled to the edge of the County to take on Bishops Stortford. The Saints Abby Smith scored but it was not enough as the Saints went down 3 – 1. The player of the match went to Bethany Moss.
The clubs two Under 15 Girls sides played each other in a league match. On a very windy day the game was all square at 0 – 0 at half time. In the second half a right wing attacking move saw the ball crossed in to enable Alice Benson to tap the ball home at close range to make it 1 – 0 to the South. For the South the player of the match went to Sophie Heggerty, for the North the player of the match was Ffion Williams.
The Under 14 Girls played away at Kings Langley and came away with a point after a 1 – 1 draw thanks to a goal from Bo Westcombe-Evans. The Saints could have won the game if only they had taken their chances. The player of the match went to Illinca Moraru and Sophie Bates.
The Under 13 Girls had a 10 – 0 victory over Borehamwood 2000. Following a great team performance there were goals from Sophie Veal 3, Katie Holder 2, Laura Gifford, Jess Simpson, Mia Pinkham, Maz Horne-Badet and one from player of the match Ellie Flynn.
The Under 12 Girls South played away to Bury Rangers and secured a point with a 0 – 0 draw. Player of the match Katie Hamm produced some stunning saves to keep the Saints in the game.
The Under 11 Girls North played at home to Hemel Hempstead red. During the match there were goals from Ruby Tickner 4, Kiera Ward 3, Caitlin Wheeler 2, Briony Stachini 2, Olivia Pickersgill, Edith Shakespeare, Player of the match Caitlin Hugo also scored two goals.
The Under 11 Girls South also played at home, their opponents were Bengeo Tigers. During the match there were goals from Rosie Littlechild and Gabby Templeman.
The Under 10 Girls North played Garston Ladies, this was a match in which all the players did very well. Well done girls.
The Under 10 Girls South played Berkhamsted Raiders. Player of the match Grace McMurray scored two goals as did Maisie Humphreys. There was also a single scored by Jemina Avery.
The Under 9 Girls South played their fellow club mates the Under 9 Girls North. There were goals from Alicia Moss and Cora Bayliss 3. The two goalscorers were also named player of the match.
The Under 8 Girls played at home to Boreham Wood 2000. During the game there were goals from Laura Brown 4, Rebecca Smith 3, Sophie Birkett 2 and Emma Bracey 2. The player of the match went to Heidi Addo.
The Under 18 Orient played Hemel Aces in the league and came away with all the points after a high scoring match by six goals to four. Scoring the goals for the Saints were Oscar Hughes 2, Stephen Heather, Isaac Keeley, Owen Ladbrook and Barney Nils-Folan. The man of the match for the Saints was Tom Nicolson.
The Under 18 West went down 4 – 1 to Hemel Town Red with Adam Hazelwood scoring the Saints only goal.
The Under 18 East played away to Abbots Youth in the league and lost the game by six goals to nil.
The Under 16 North played in the fourth round of the Herts County Cup against Broxbourne Borough Blues. The Saints progressed to the next round with a 3 – 1 victory. Scoring the goals were Gianpaulo Manzi, Liam Murphy and Owen Greenbank. There was a joint man of the match, Will Sharp and Liam Murphy.
The Under 16 East WFL dominated their match with AC Finchley North but still went down by two goals to nil. The man of the match went to Tayler Fennel.
The Under 16 South played away to Bovingdon Red and secured a point after a 2 – 2 draw. The goal scorers for the Saints was Ben Gosling and Omar Bounyafe. The man of the match went to Ronan Marie Moutou.
The Under 16 Central lost to Mile End Youth with the man of the match going to Lloyd Debenham.
The Under 16 East WHYL lost 3 – 0 at home to Comet Cougars with the man of the match going to Callum Keane.
The Under 15 South defeated Pinnacle Youth 4 – 3 thanks to goals from Joe Newton 2, Harry Smith and one from man of the match Max Bell. With five minutes to go the Saints were losing 3 – 2 but managed to stage a fantastic fightback.
The Under 15 North lost 2 – 0 to Kings Langley Falcons and Nathan Glasscoe was named man of the match.
The Under 15 Orient also lost, this time 5 – 0 to AC Finchley in the Watford Friendly League Red Division. The man of the match for the Orient was Liam Studley.
Also losing 5 – 0 were the Under 15 East, this time playing Croxley. There man of the match was Alex Gates.
Playing away to Evergreen were the Under 15 West and the Saints came away with all the points thanks to a 4 – 3 victory. The goals for the Saints were scored by Kai Takahashi 2, Casey Akajioyi and Harrison Bean. The man of the match went to Noah Charsley-Smith.
The Under 14 North had a 4 – 1 win over Harpenden Colts Black in the Watford Friendly League Red Division. The man of the match was an easy decision which saw Billy Owen picking up the award thanks to his four stunning goals.
The Under 14 West won 5 – 2 against Harpenden Colts in the Junior Cup with goals from Stefan Martin 2, William Skinner, James Knapp and Louis Paganuzzi.
The Under 14 East won 3 – 0 against Hemel Town Red in the Senior Cup. The goals were scored by Aaron Peter (assisted by his brother Harry) and two goals from Harry Peter who was also named man of the match. In the first half keeper Luca Kershaw saved a penalty.
The Under 14 Orient lost by three goals to seven against Abbots Youth. The Saints goals were scored by Bly Wilding 2 and Peter Rock. The man of the match went to Sam Doughty.
The Under 13 Central had a great 4 – 3 win over Watford Youth Sports Red after extra time in the Challenge Cup. The Saints went a goal up thanks to Matty Bleakley but then went two goals to one down before equalising with a well taken penalty by Ben Sommerbauer (2-2). Joe Cussans made it 3 – 2 with ten minute to go. Watford made it 3 – 3 with three minute to go and took the match into extra time. With eight minutes to go Daniel William sped away to score the winner with a shot slotted across the keeper to take the Saints into the next round.
Playing away to AEK Youth Black were the Under 13 East who won the game thanks to a goal from Nasir Zaman. The man of the match went to Declan Jackson.
The Under 13 Orient played Park Street Blue in very windy conditions and conceded two goals in the last five minutes to lose the game 2 – 0. The man of the match went to Lewis Shamplina-Posner.
The Under 13 North lost to Bushey and Oxhey. The Saints consolation goal was scored by Eli Slocombe.
The Under 13 South lost 3 – 0 to London Maccabi.
The Under 12 West went down 1 – 0 to Cuffley Sports whilst the Under 12 North lost 3 – 10 to Comet Sports in the Intermediate Cup, scoring the goals for the North were Sam McKenna, Daniel Curran and Thomas Coulling. The man of the match went to Andrew Gentle.
The Under 12 East Blue played away to Potters Bar and went down 6 – 1 with the Saints goal coming from Lorenzo Johnson.
The Under 11 West played East Herts Youth there was a goal coming from Finlay Rees. The man of the match went to Elliot Diprose.
The Under 11 South played Cuffley and there were goals from Charlie Johnson and George Beasley. The man of the match went to Dylan Gacek-Campos.
The Under 10 South played Hoddesdon Town and there was a goal from Man of the match Charlie Easterby.
The Under 10 East played at home to Sumners Youth Vipers. There were goals from Jensen Dean, Joel Whitworth and Joe McLeod.
The Under 10 Boreal played away to Paringdon. There were goals from Carlos Johnson and Addison Doyle-Newe. The star player was Luke Tunnicliffe.
The Under 10 Victoria played Hemel Aces Lions and there was a goal from Martin Flore. Oscar Bell was named man of the match.
The Under 10 West played Cheshunt Youth Black and there were goals from Charlie Clark 2 and Isaac Templeton. The man of the match went to Ayman Mrabate.
The Under 10 Central played Harlow Town Harriers and there were goals from Angus Twidell and Ralf Dunning. The man of the match went to Ben Coulling.
The Under 10 Orient played Stevenage Flamencos and there were goals from George Ilari 2, Cameron Bates and Luke Hayden.
The Under 9 North played Harlow Town Youth and there was a goal from Noah Butler.
The Under 9 South played Lemsford and the goals were scored by Steve Jacobs and man of the match James Beasley.
The Under 9 East played Wormley Blacks. Man of the match Will Antcliffe scored a hat trick and there were other goals scored by Liam Powell 2 and Johnny Bennett.
The Under 9 West played Chorleywood Common Hawks in a very close and entertaining match with keeper Josh Woodley making some great saves and superb defending from Alfie Mair.
The Under 9 Orient played Berkhamsted Raiders. The goals were scored by Bertie Postema, Thomas Boca-Mapp, Dean Bladon and Dima Gusev. The man of the match went to Josh Topp but the keeper Angus Kerr was also excellent.
The Under 9 Central played Sarratt Yellows. Tyler Hall scored two goals.
The Under 9 Dragons played Ware Flamingos. Max Austin and Dylan Norman scored. The man of the match went to Mattie Verdier.
Playing away to Harlow Town were the Under 9 Saxons. There were goals from Sam Estell 3, Ailbe Tidd 2 and Fin Murphy.
The Under 9 Romans played away to Welwyn Pegasus and there was a goal from Max Winders.
The Under 8 East played club mates the Under 8 North. The goals were scored by Arthur Rennie-Sivell 3, Leon Rainey 3, Samuel Philpot, Danny Quinn, Charlie Yeo 2, Kaden Rajkumar 2, Jacob Standing and Judd Austin. The star player was Ethan Evan.
The Under 8 South played a match and there were goals from Harrison Smith 2 and Theo Price. The man of the match went to Jacob Thomas.
The Under 8 West played Knebworth Sabres Black and there were goals from Toby Short 6, Daniel Day, Kyle Rennie, Romeo Rojas, and one from man of the match Nick Evershed.
