STACY Girls Six A Side 2012

 

Runners-up Garston had a 2 – 1 victory over the City Youth Under 12’s West and then a 2 – 0 victory over Watford Ladies plus a 1 – 1 draw with the City Youth Under 12’s South. The Garston ladies goals came from Keira Thomas-Moore with a hat trick plus two from Casey Bunker and one from Molly McGuane.

The City Youth Under 12’s South finished in third sport with one win, two draws and one defeat. Kate Chamberlain scored the goal that gave the South a 1 – 0 win over the City Youth Under 12’s West and thenthere were goals from Amber Smith and Shamica Powell which gave the South 1 – 1 draws against Watford Ladies and Garston Ladies. The City Youth Under 12’s West had one goal scorer in their games and that came from Evie Wilkinson in their 2 – 1 defeat to Garston Ladies. For Watford ladies, who had one win, one draw and two defeats the goals came from Gabby Massey 2 and Sophia Litro 2.

The next age group were the Under 11’s which was split into two leagues with the winners of each group playing each other in the final.

Group A proved to be very close with only three points separating the top four teams, with the runners up spot being decided on goal difference.

The winners of group A were Bedwell Rangers, who despite losing their first game went on to win their next four matches to top the table on twelve points. Bedwells four wins were 1 – 0 against Garston, 4 – 0 against City Youth Under 11’s North Blue, 2 – 0 v Denham and finally 2 – 1 against the City Youth Under 11’s South Red with Grace Brooks scoring seven goals including a hat trick against Garston, the other two goals came from Vicky Freeman.

Runners up spot went to Garston Ladies Mets who just pipped Ruislip Rangers on goal difference with both teams finishing on ten points. Scoring Garstons goals were Amy Walsh 3, Chloe Dinsey 2, Daisy Parker 2, Sophie McNeill2, Ruby Kalms 2 and Trixi Robinson-Tuckey 2.

In Group B the winners were Denham Ladies Wildcats with nine points on goal difference from City Youth Under 11’s South Blue who also finished on nine points. The Wildcats started brightly with a 6 – 0 win over City Youth North Orange and this was followed up by a 4 – 0 win over City Youth South Blue. Scoring the fourteen goals for Denham were Charlotte Parrett with 6, Chloe Fletcher 3, Rhian O’Hare 2, Kayleigh Currivan 2 and Alketa Rragami with one.

City Youth South Blue also got of to a good start with a 7 – 0 win over North orange, this was followed by a 1 – 0 win over Garston and then a 2 – 1 win over Harvesters which was revenge for a defeat by Harvesters in a Cup Final a few weeks previously. The goals for the South Blu came from Phoebe Skinner 2, Kira Close 2, Pippa Palmer 2, Lauren Standing 2, Molly Johnston and Hannah Coote.

The Final between Bedwell Rangers and Denham Ladies Wildcats was a very close game with the match ending 1 – 1 after extra time, scoring Bedwells goal was Grace Brooks, Chloe Fletcher netted for Denham. The match went to penalties and Bedwell Rangers won 6 – 5.

So to the Under 10’s Competition, the winners were Ruislip Rangers with the maximum five wins which included a 7 – 0 victory over Harvesters North. In total they scored 17 goals and only conceded two. Ruislip also had a 4 – 1 victory of City Youth. The goals for Ruislip came from Niamh Reynold with six, Stavie Flaherty 4, Olivia Gaffney 3, Lili Davidson, Chloe Hewitt, Sasha Williams and Nicole Leys.

City Youth finished in second place with three wins, one draw and one defeat. Their biggest wins were 3 – 0 victories over Harvesters South and Kings Langley. Scoring the goals for City Youth were Katie Holder 2, Mariona Horne-Badet 2, Hannah Martin, Jessica Simpson and Anouk Denton.

The Under 9’s was played as a fair play festival.
