Level 1 Coaching Course Participants.
St Albans City Youth in the Community had a fantastic half term week training up new young coaches from St Albans District across a number of different sports..
The Young Coaches Programme forms part of the Coach Education Week ( in association with The Herts FA, Herts Sports Partnership and Apex Multisport. It saw 20 new enthusiastic young coaches accredited as Community Sports Coaches. )
Strategically the Club uses the Programme to help develop young people at the same time as it aims to keep more 14 to 18 year olds actively involved in sport. The 14 and 15 year olds complete a Sports Leaders Qualification while the older coaches are able to take a Level 1 Sports Certificate. These qualifications allow the young coaches to become useful members of the Community by supporting the City Youth School and Community activities.

A big thank you to the Herts FA for running the Level 1course and special thanks to Danielle Quelch, Football Coach & Referee Education Officer, for organising.
The Coach Education is supported by St Albans City FC and The Conference League Trust thanks to Community funding by The Premier League and PFA.
