City Youth in the Community

Mayors Pride Awards 2011



Ian has now completed over 50 years in football, having started by setting up a football team in his teens as the School he attended only played Rugby. Then continuing in the game as player, referee, manager, coach, league official, club official, trustee, referees secretary in addition to his role as club secretary. Because a number of these jobs were held concurrently he has probably given 100 years service! In addition Ian has also been an involved with the Scout movement for many years.



Other members of City Youth who received recognition on the night were Ashleigh Harvey,  a member of the St Albans City Youth Girls, Under 14’s team went on holiday with her grandparents in Lanzarote last month and came home a hero. Ashley was runner  up in the Young Person of Courage Category.           Read more about Ashley here.
