Matt Wyatt and Charlie Boswell were formally announced as St Albans City Youth's new Community Apprentice Coaches at the recent Club Meeting.

Their role will be to help support the Club's team managers as well as playing a leading role in the Club's Community Programme. The 18 month Apprenticeship will see the lads progress to a Level 3 Youth Worker certificate as well as them becoming respected coaches at Herts Sports Partnership, Leisure Connection, Special Olympics and at The FA.The Clubs existing Community Coach Sam Mardle will complete the induction process with Matt and Charlie throughout April.
Sam commented "It shows the clubs continued commitment to developing its coaches. Matt and Charlie are already experienced coaches so we are looking for the Community Schemes to grow from strength to strength in the District"
Sam Mardle will leave the club in the summer to work for the Club's sister club in Ohio. He has been an inspiration to the other coaches in the club.
