Quote of the Week

Under 18’s South Manager Peter Towndrow said “Although his team did not have a match this weekend he was positive that if they had a match they would have won by a large score”

Under 18’s

The Under 18’s East were at home to Boreham Wood and unfortunately the East went down 5 – 0. Adriano Gil had a great game in midfield with some fine work over the 90 minutes.

Under 16’s

MOTM Nick Deacon scored one of the goals for the Under 16’s North in their 5 – 2 defeat to Panathinaikos, Daniel Casotti scored the other goal.

At home in the Spring Cup against Alexandra Park the Under 16’s South came back from being a goal down to win 3 – 2 with Noah Grisenthwaite scoring a great hat trick.

Under 15’s

At half time the Under 15’s North were leading 2 – 0 in their Blue Division match against London Maccabi Lions with goals from Ollie Ennis and Gus Scott. In the second half a further goal from Gus Scott gave all the points to the North with a 3 – 0 victory.

Under 14’s

Two goals from MOTM Callum Clifford plus one from Akin Akinbinu gave the Under 14’s North a sound 3 – 1 win over Rickmansworth in the League.

MOTM Numan Hakim scored the Under 14’s Boreals consolation goal as they went down 9 – 1 in the League against Echoes Youth.

Under 13’s

The Under 13’s Orient just edged victory away at Berkhamsted Raiders Blue by three goals to two. Owen Ladbrooke scored two fine goals and Sam Harte scored the third.

In the league Cup the Under 13’s West could only field nine players and finally went down 4 – 1 to Aldenham after the score had been 1 – 1 early in the second half. The goal scorer for the West was MOTM Jake Anthony.

Under 12’s

The Under 12’s Girls North had a fantastic 2 – 0 away win over Bury Rangers with goals from Emily Schofield and Nicola Gosling. The player of the match went to Romy Kelleher who worked tirelessly at the back.

The Under 12’s Girls South lost to Garston Ladies. Abby Durrant, who had a good game in the back four was named player of the match.

Goal scorer Giuseppe Basile was named MOTM for the Under 12’s East as they lost 7 – 1 to Harpenden Colts Pirates.

There was a great performance from midfielder Art O’Neill for the Under 12’s South as they lost 4 – 0 to Whetstone Tigers in the League.

At home to Whetstone Cougars were the Under 12’s North who had a sound 2 – 1 win with goals from Ned Robinson and David Etheridge.

The Under 12’s Orient had a Junior League Cup Quarter Final against their fellow club mates the Under 12’s Boreal. The orient went through to the Semi Finals with a 7 – 0 win. The goals came from Harry Wilding 2, Zach Littenstone 2, Max Saunders 2 and a single from Tom Naylor.

Under 11’s

Playing away to Denham United Ladies in a friendly were the Under 11’s Girls South who went on to win 4 – 1 with new signing Kira Close scoring two goals on her debut. Scoring the other goals were Lauren Walker and Hannah Coote.

A windy pitch against 3rd in the table Bury made this a hard match for the Under 11’s Girls North. Again key players were missing and the girls are clearly still learning to work together however they battled hard and had some good periods. The final result was a 5-0 win to Bury. With only seconds to go in the League Cup tie between the Under 11’s West and Cuffley United the match was locked at 3 – 3 as extra time was running out, then up popped Cuffley to score the winning goal and send the west crashing out 4 – 3. Scoring for the West were Cameron Clark 2 and a single from Matthew Nash.

Under 10’s

At home in the League to Everett Rovers saw the Under 10’s East race into a 3 – 0 lead by half time with a goal from Swaley Smith, Bradley Osborn then struck two goals before the break. MOTM Ryan Ward scored just after the break, James Liu then scored two goals as did Swaley Smith to complete his hat trick to give the East an eight goals to nil victory.

Under 9’s

The Under 9’s Girls did not give up battling all the way to the final whistle as they lost to a very good Harvesters side. But they still scored a few goals with Olivia Banks scoring two and a single from Charlotte Gurney. Player of the match went to new signing Mia Elmore.

Under 8’s

The Under 8’s North played a fun match against Berkhamsted Blue with goals from Jack Carmichael 2, Ryan Corcoran 2 and Harrison Smith. Joe Knee was named MOTM.

The Under 8’s South played a fun match away to Bovingdon with goals from Ryan Solly 2, Leo Geymonat 2 and Sam Hicks.
