Under 18’s
The Under 18’s Girls played away to Kings Langley, the Girls, after going in at half time with a 3 – 2 lead following goals from Janae Guishard-Pine, Sammy May and Holly Clarke pushed on in the second half to win the match 7 – 2 with further strikes from Guishard-Pine 2 and May 2 which completed their hat tricks. Player of the match went to keeper Hannah Peppett.
Under 16’s
In the top of the table clash with Harvesters North the Under 16’s North came out on top with a 1- 0 win following a goal from Denzil Adoo. The MOTM award went to John Little and Victor Mukubvu.
Noah Grisenthwaite and Jack Pugh scored for the Under 16’s South as they lost 3 – 2 to Evergreen.
Under 15’s
The Under 15’s East came away from Alexandra park with a point after a 2 – 2 draw. Charlie Hushes, making a welcome return to the team scored the equalising goal. The East’s other goal was scored by Anthony Gosling.
The Under 15’s North lost 3 – 1 to Evergreen in the League after Evergreen scored two late strikes as the North were pressing forward in search of the winner. The Norths goal was scored by Clark Hodson.
Once again the Under 15’s Girls could only field nine players due to injury and they lost to Tottenham Hotspurs. Player of the match went to Emma Tammaro. Under 14’s
The Under 14’s North won 9 – 0 in the Challenge Cup against Finchley Revolutions. Akin Akinbinu led the way with a hat trick. There were singles from Natham Gibbins, Matt Harvey, Callum Clifford, Gerardo Smaldone, Alex Levy, and Stuart Peet.
The Under 14’s West scored three goals without reply to pick up all the points against Garston Boys. The scorers were Sam Reynolds, Josh bean and Max Bull.
The Under 14’s Boreal crashed out to the League Cup 4 – 0 to Berkhamsted Red.
Edward Anders scored both goals for the Under 14’s Warriors as they lost 5 – 2 to Chorleywood Eagles. The MOTM went to keeper Matt Denton.
Under 13’s
The Under 13’s South had an excellent 7 – 3 victory at home to Chorleywood Tigers in the Challenge Cup. Scoring the goals were Kyle Harris 2, Chris Salmons 2, Ollie Astley, Billy Lawrence and James Nasah. The MOTM went to Chris Salmons and Ollie Astley.
The Under 13’s North missed chances as they lost 1 – 0 to Watford Youth Sports in the Challenge Cup. Alex Beard was named MOTM.
Away to Nascot Wood saw David Andrews score the only goal for the Under 13’s East as they lost 4 – 1.
No joy for the Under 13’s Orient as they lost in the Challenge Cup.
The Under 13’s Girls lost 3 – 1 at home to Whetstone Wanderers with Lili Brown scoring. The player of the match went to Morgan Jeggo who had a great game in midfield.
Under 12’s
Jack Nicholson scored the first goal for the Under 12’s East, Ollie Hann scored the second but their opponents scored three goals to win 3 – 2. MOTM was shared and went to Sam Ready and Lewis Phillips.
The Under 12’s South lost 7 – 2 to Aldenham in the League. Ben Gosling scored both goals for the Saints. Keeper Ryan Sutton was named MOTM.
Brad Slocombe scored the only goal for the Under 12’s East as they lost 7 – 1 to Rickmansworth. Max Bunting was named MOTM.
The Under 12’s Orient won 5 – 1 at Evergreen with goals from Zach Littenstone, William Ibbotson, Harry Wilding, Barnaby Hope and Tom Naylor. Keeper Will Daly was in superb form between the sticks and was named MOTM.
Although their were three sizzling goals from Alex Gates for the Under 12’s Boreal away at Harpenden Colts Rhinos it was the home side who took the points with a 6 – 3 victory. The MOTM went to Lewis Palmer.
Following an end to end game for the Under 12’s Girls North against Bury rangers the Saints lost by five goals to three. Player of the match Emily Schofield scored two goals and Danielle Tyler struck number three.
Lauryn Edwell scored the Under 12’s Girls South’s only goal as they lost 3 – 1 to Berkhamsted. Shamika Powell was named player of the match.
Under 11’s
The Under 11’s Girls South, with the support of England star Faye White via Twitter took on Knebworth Youth Tigresses in the County Cup Semi Final. The Girls went through to the final by winning 2 – 0 with goals from Lauren Walker and Hannah Coote. Sophie Hegerty was named player of the match for an outstanding defensive display. Well done Girls.
This year is a big challenge for the Under 11’s Girls North as they try to re-define themselves as a team but, in terms of hard work, pulling together, maintaining team spirit and enjoying themselves on the pitch the girls cannot be faulted. Grainne found the net (and Zoë had one cross the line which was scrambled back unseen by the ref). The final score was a disappointing 10-1 to Kinja Rockets, but encouragement can be taken from the girls not settling in defence but continuing to push forward. The goals will surely come.
Mollie again played out of goal in the 2nd half & is showing herself in a positive light at both ends of the pitch, respect to Maddy for taking her turn in goal. Report by Sue Chick
The Under 11’s North played high flyers Croxley Guild kestrels in a very close match with the North eventually going down 3 – 2. The scorers for the North were Dominic Dee and Jack Hughes with midfielder Cameron Smith being named MOTM.
The home match between the Under 11’s South and Cuffley produced plenty of goals with the visitors taking all the points with a 6 – 4 win. MOTM Ollie Driscoll scored two goals and Joe Newton and Ed Stafford both scored singles.
Away to Lemsford Tigers were the Under 11’s West who had a sound 4 – 1 win with goals from Cameron Clark 2, Jack Rose and Ross Andrews.
Toby Bryon led the way with three great goals for the Under 11’s East in their 5 – 2 win over Oxhey Jets. Michael Gabblau scored the other two goals. The MOTM went to captain Max Bell.
Under 10’s
Two goals apiece from Katie Holder and Mariona Horne-Batet gave the Under 10’s Girls a solid 4 – 2 win over Kings Langley Belles.
The Under 10’s North went down 3 – 2 to Hemel Town after a very close match with goals from Ben Spencer and Ryan Orde. The MOTM went to Finn Murphy and James lawrence.
Despite the Under 10’s South putting in a fine display of passing football they lost 4 – 2 to Chorleywood. The scorers for the South were Ronnie Russo and Joseph Parrett.
Another Under 10’s team, the West also played some good football and they went on to win 3 – 0 against King George Vipers with goals from Ben Mehta, Thomas Liddelow and James Johnson.
Away to Berkhamsted Raiders Purple were the Under 10’s East who raced in to a 3 – 0 lead at the break with two goals from Henry Peter and one from Henry Oliver. In the second half henry Oliver scored another goal and Bradley Osborn scored two further goals to give the East a 6 – 1 win. MOTM went to Swaley Smith.
Under 9’s
The Under 9’s North played their fellow club mates the Under 9’s Central in the League which saw the North come out on top by winning 5 – 1. Scoring for the North were MOTM Daniel Ludwig 3, Dan Hussain and Will Monk. Scoring for the Central was Will Brown. Joe Mass was named MOTM for his hard work for the Central side.
In the Mid Herts Divisional Cup the Under 9’s South beat Panshanger 2 – 0 with goals from Louis Bker-Madec and Scott Ovenden. Mark Allan was named MOTM.
Goals from Joe Cussans and matthew Roome gave the Under 9’s West a 2 – 1 vicory over Ware Youth Blues with Tim Davies having a good match for the West.
Charlotte Gurney scored for the Under 9’s Girls in their match with King George Vipers.
Under 8’s
The Under 8’s North played a fun match away at Hemel Warriors, there were goals from Jack Carmichael and Daniel Curran. The MOTM went to keeper Matt Emmett.
Also playing away in a fun match were the Under 8’s South at Nascot Wood Royals. Stefano Geymonat scored an exciting hat trick, Danny Fowler also scored. MOTM went to Hector Almela-Lozano.
