The Under 15’s East, at home to League high flyers Edmonton Rangers, at the last meeting between the sides Edmonton ran out easy winners. Under 9’s

A pleasant start to the footballing new year with a well deserved win for the Under 9’s South away to Wodson Park..

There were some good performances, Will Baynham in the centre keeping Harvey Connor's usual place warm for him was impressive again. The award for the most deserving strike of the day goes to Harvey whose in swinging shot was heading for the top corner before a great save from the opposition keeper just kept it out. Louis Baker- Madec was his usual busy self, end to end, breaking up play with a well deserved goal (also as usual) and I don't think I have ever seen a player earn as many corners in a single match as he did today. Max Varney and Sam Doidge kept it tight at the back and Scott Ovenden was indeed too 'hot' with a good brace, including another sensational individual goal outrunning the opposition with the ball at his feet and covering  a full three quarters of the length of the pitch to smash the ball home. The opposition gave a good account of themselves as well, which meant a most entertaining mornings football for everybody who was there. Report by Mark & Kevin
