Under 18’s
The Under 18’s South manager peter Towndrow thinks Christmas has come early for his side as they made it two wins on the trot when they defeated Echoes 3 – 1. Scoring the goals were Laurence Blow, who was also MOTM plus Marino Savva and George Guest.
Away to Finchley Revolutions were the Under 18’s East and they finally drew 1 – 1 with Nathan Watkins scoring a late equaliser with five minutes to go. The MOTM went to the hard working Tom Sykes.
At home to Welwyn Ladies were the Under 18’s Girls in a beds & Herts league fixture which saw them win 2 – 1 with a goal from Holly Sheridan, who also had another effort hit the bar. The second goal was scored by Janae Guishard-Pine. The Under 18’s Girls could have had more goals with Phoenix Hickman hitting the post and then late on Abigail Kemball-Cooke also hitting the woodwork from the penalty spot. Defender Faith Trounce was named player of the match.
Under 16’s
The Under 16’s North conceded two early goal against Northwood in the League Cup and although they pulled one back through Luke Ferdinand they went down 3 – 1. The MOTM award went to John Little.
Away to Chorleywood saw the Under 16’s South draw 1 – 1 with Noah Grisenthwaite scoring the equalising goal. Left back Stuart Meaton had a sound game.
Under 15’s
In a Blue Division fixture there were goals from Ollie Sykes and Alex White for the Under 15’s North in their match against Olympiacos which saw them lose 4 – 2. For the North, Shay Emerton at Centre Half had an excellent match.
The Under 15’s Girls, away in the League Cup at Harvesters were still not up to full strength due to a long list of injuries and after a good display they still went down 4 – 1 with Emma Sullivan scoring for the Saints.
Under 14’s
Goals from Michael Woodford and Sam Reynolds earned the Under 14’s West a 2 – 2 draw with Harpenden Colts.
The Under 14’s Boreal were away to Letchworth Eagles in the County Cup and after a high scoring match the Boreal went down 5 – 3. Scoring the goals for the Saints were Alex Collins 2, and Daniel Metcalf. Tom Lander was named MOTM.
Also playing in a highly entertaining match were the Under 14’s Warriors as they drew 4 – 4 against Chorleywood Eagles. The goal scorers were two for MOTM Samual Waters-Rathjen and two for Edward Anders.
Under 13
The Under 13’s South could only field ten players in their home match with Hemel Athletic which they eventually lost. For the South Chris Salmons played well with his non-stop running during the whole match.
At half time the score was 1 – 0 to Hendon United and then 2 – 0 early in the second half, but the Under 13’s North fought back with a cracking strike from MOTM Jacob Grisenthwaite to make it 2 – 1. Later on a fine goal from Charlie Lunniss made sure the North came back with a point.
The Under 13’s West were at home to Whetstone Wanderers and both teams served up a match to watch which eventually ended up as a 2 – 2 draw. Scoring the goals for the West were Alfie Seeby plus one from MOTM Sebastian Camp.
Sam Harte scored both of the goals for the Under 13’s Orient in their 4 – 2 defeat against Harpenden Colts.
Away to Watford Youth saw the Under 13’s East go down 5 – 1 with the consolation goal being an own goal. The MOTM went to keeper Ollie Colvin who had an exceptional game between the sticks keeping the score line down with some fine saves.
Under 12’s
After a very close match against Garston Boys the Under 12’s East eventually won 3 – 2 with two goals from Cain Joseph and one from Sam Ready. Their was a joint man of the match which went to Ollie Hann and Sam Smith.
Another team who won by the odd goal were the Under 12’s South as they beat Bushey Rangers 4 – 3 with two goals from Ben Gosling plus singles from Alex Cox and Ale Fardella.
In the League Cup were the Under 12’s North who had a good win over Everett Rovers by four goals to one. Four players scored a goal apiece, they were James McCallum, Tom Levy, Chris Hubbard and Alfie Booth.
Away to Kings Langley saw the Under 12’s orient fight out a 4 – 4 draw with the home side scoring a dramatic last minute equaliser. MOTM Max Saunders scored two goals with Zach Littenstone and Tom Naylor scoring singles.
James Mason was the MOTM for the Under 12’s West in their 5 – 0 defeat to Leverstock Green.
Under 11’s
Dominic Dee scored a hat trick for the Under 11’s North in their 7 – 0 away win over Potters Bar. There were further goals from Jack Hughes 2, Ben Dimmock and Harry Smith. The MOTM went to keeper Nathan Glasscoe who pulled of a few stunning saves during the match.
The Under 11’s East dominated their game against Hemel Spartans in which they won 4 – 1, scoring the goals were MOTM Michael Gabblah 2 and Callum Sweeny and Finlay Banks with singles.
The MOTM for the Under 11’s Orient went to defender Jamie Dunham who worked hard to keep the score line down as the orient lost to Leverstock Green
Under 10’s
There were SIX different goal scorers for the Under 10’s North in their 7 v 3 victory over Evergreen, leading the scorers was Joe Curran with a brace. The other goals came from Ryan Orde, Tom Carmichael, James Lawrence, Jarvis Wilkins and Billy Owen. Central midfielder Thomas Geller was named MOTM.
Also having a sound win were the Under 10’s South as they beat Abbots Youth 4 – 1 with Joseph Parrett scoring two goals, the other scorers were Ted Fitzgerald-Smith and Hendrik Bockenhauer.
The Under 10’s West had two matches over the weekend, in the first they drew 0 – 0 away to Hertford with defender Donald McKay making sure no one got past to help earn the West a point. In their second match they played Barnett Azzuri and despite James Johnson scoring a brilliant equaliser just before half time the West went down 2 – 1. Stefan Martin was named MOTM.
Under 9’s
The Under 9’s North lost 2 – 1 to Bushey & Oxhey in the County Cup with Will Monk scoring their only goal. Striker Jake Fleming was named MOTM.
Also in the County Cup were the Under 9’s Central who beat Barnet Azzuri 2 – 1 with goals from Luis Moreno and Corey Rodriguez, which now takes the team into the last sixteen.
Under 8’s
The Under 8’s North played a fun match at home to Everett Rovers with goals from MOTM Jack Carmichael 4, Josh Doyle 2 and singles from Ryan Corcoran and Max Emmett.
The Under 8’s South played a fun match with Berkhamsted Yellow and their were goals from Sam Hicks, Alex Woodford and Leo Geymonat. Danny Fowler had a good game for the South.
