Under 11’s
This week saw a County Cup match for the Under 11's Girls North team, against Kings Langley. The North made an excellent start with some quality passing between the girls as they ‘took the game’ to Kings Langley. The North scored midway in the first half and defended strongly against any incursions on their goal made by the opposition. The second half started with a strong challenge from Kings Langley however North made by far the better chances on goal and were unfortunate when KL did manage to score. This, at 1-1, took the game to extra time; the North again came out in a positive manner and continued their attacks on goal eventually being successful making the score 2-1 and then defending as a team everything KL could ‘throw’ at them.
This was a very impressive display of team spirit and willingness to work together and support each other; it bodes very well for the future. There was no identified player of the match this week as all the players impressed and pulled their weight for the team equally. Report by Sue Chick.
Away to Hitchin Belles in the County Cup were the Under 11’s Girls South and just like their club mates the North the match went into extra time with the score being 1 – 1 at full time with the goal coming from player of the match Hannah Coote. Away to Hoddesdon saw the Under 11’s South return with a convincing 7 – 2 victory and leading the scorers was Joe Newton with four well taken goals. The other scorers were Harrison Doyle, Jack Fletcher and Adam Pringle who celebrated his birthday by being named MOTM.
Jack Hughes scored two goals and their was one each for Dominic Dee and Matt Breeze which saw the Under 11’s North win 4 – 1 away to Comets Blue. The MOTM went to Sam Day.
The Under 11’s Orient were playing Berkhamsted Raiders Red and Louis Goosey scored their consolation goal as they lost 4 – 1.

At home to Hemel Town red saw the Under 10’s North drop three points as they finally lost 4 – 1 after a very close first half. Billy Owen scored the North’s only goal and was named MOTM.
