June Half Term Coaching Sessions
St Albans City Youth had over 200 young children attend its fun Easter Coaching session at Highfield Park thanks to enthusiastic coaches and the lovely weather. All records were broken for a single day when 129 people turned up on the Monday. A great Community event for the District. Now is the time to book for the next half term coaching session, taking place at Highfield Park from Tuesday 5th to Friday 8th June inclusive.Click here to book Clubs New Apprentice CoachesMatt Wyatt and Charlie Boswell were formally announced as St Albans City Youth's new Community Apprentice Coaches at the recent Club Meeting.
Matt Wyatt and Charlie Boswell Their role will be to help support the Club's team managers as well as playing a leading role in the Club's Community Programme. The 18 month Apprenticeship will see the lads progress to a Level 3 Youth Worker certificate as well as them becoming respected coaches at Herts Sports Partnership, Leisure Connection, Special Olympics and at The FA.The Clubs existing Community Coach Sam Mardle will complete the induction process with Matt and Charlie throughout April. Sam commented "It shows the clubs continued commitment to developing its coaches. Matt and Charlie are already experienced coaches so we are looking for the Community Schemes to grow from strength to strength in the District"
Sam Mardle will leave the club in the summer to work for the Club's sister club in Ohio. He has been an inspiration to the other coaches in the club. If you would like to find out more about St Albans City Youth's work in the Community visit www.cityyouthfc.com St Albans City FC - End of Season Dinner DanceSt Albans City FC are delighted to announce the guest speakers at our 'End of Season Dinner' - Arsenal and England legend Tony Adams and Premiership Referee Mark Halsey, accompanied by the evening's Master of Ceremonies Geoff Shreeves, who is part of the Sky Sports football coverage team. The event will take place on Thursday 10 May 2012 at Sopwell House Hotel, with music being provided by great local covers band 'The Push'. The evening will also include a 3 course meal, an Auction of Sporting Memorabilia and Events Hospitality.
