City Youth Girls at Morrison’s

Members of St Albans City Youth Girls helped Christmas shoppers by packing their bags at Morrison’s Supermarket over the weekend, helping to raise money for the clubs trip to our partner club CUSA Courage in Ohio USA.

One of the organisers, Janet Hegerty said “It was a real marathon event and everyone worked so hard, from Lisa Coote on the first shift at 4.45pm on Friday afternoon to Margi and Martyn Skinner counting the last pennies at half six tonight. In between every single member of the tour team did a stint with family and friends and of course we had brilliant help from the team from Loreto Girls College.  The endurance prize goes to Megan for nearly 12 hours of packing over the three days!!”

Janet added “We will not have the total raised until the Loreto girls have done their final count but it looks to be around £2500 for the weekend”.
