David Wray receives recognition for the good use his charity, St Albans City Youth, has made of the Centre for Voluntary Service (CVS) Funding Advice Service.
The advice service supported David to prepare successful bid applications of over £90,000 in the last 24 months to support St Albans City Youth’s work in the Community.
St Albans City Youth are a registered charity providing a number of sports, mainly football, for the young people of St Albans. Since 1971 they have enabled over 19,000 young local people to play organised sport, enjoy after school clubs, go on trips as well as joining school holiday camps. They are proud of their girls’ teams, boys’ teams and especially proud of their 4 special needs teams which open the fun to less able young people.
Laura Cronshaw, CVS CEO, said “we are grateful to the St Albans City and District council who provide us with the financial support to allow us to provide this advice service to our members.”
David Wray Trustee from St Albans City Youth said “This is the best £20 subscription we have ever made. I would particularly like to thank Stella for her support and expertise”
