St Albans Amputee Football Club
St Albans Amputee FC has been formed as part of a national initiative by the England Amputee Football Association http://www.theeafa.co.uk/.
The team will be managed by EAFA regional contact Peter Monk, a player himself, with an upper limb deficiency.
The club will begin with monthly training sessions and aim to move to weekly sessions as more players are recruited. Training sessions will be held at:
Highfield Sports Centre
Russet Drive
St Albans
AL4 0DB
The St Albans Amputee FC training sessions are open to participation by anyone with an amputation, congenital deficiency or other limb affected disorder (so you don’t need to be missing a limb to have a go!). If you would like more information on the sport please look at www.manchesteramputeefc.co.uk/faqs.html and it should answer everything you need to know before you start.
St Albans Amputee FC will be a great way to meet other people with limb deficiencies who are interested in football, have some fun playing in local or national competitions, and even start the journey to become a international amputee footballer.
If you live in or near to the Home Counties region and you would like to start playing or if you have a question that you think we can help with, then please email SAAFC manager Peter Monk via This e-mail address is being protected from spambots. You need JavaScript enabled to view it

I am now pleased to announce that St Albans Amputee FC’s first official training session will take place on Sunday 13th February between 10:00 – 12:00, and it will be held at;
High field Sports Centre Russet Drive St Albans AL4 0DB (this is just two miles off the M25 junction 22, so is easily accessible for us all)
This is our team and so we all need to ensure that we can make 13th February and the other training dates below, remember if we don’t have the players we don’t have a team.
Sunday 13th February Sunday 13th March Sunday 10th April Sunday 15th May Sunday 12th June
As you can see, all training sessions are on Sunday mornings between 10:00-12:00 and they will be held on a muga (all weather) pitch, all you need to bring along is your training kit and a drink.
Can you each let me know if you can make the first training session as it will be a good workout and we can discuss how we want to take this club forward, this is our club and so I would very much like it to be as open as possible, whilst of course being under the EAFA.
Please feel free to contact me should you have any questions,
Peter Monk SAAFC Manager
